ITEM: Cross in Bottle
This craft item was imported to the US via Europe, however, these bottles were frequently found in the south, and represented a variation of tramp art. The practicality of these items is that alcoholics who were also poor used to create these items in order to use them for barter for a new full bottle. This one dates to the 1800s.
